October Karma Yoga Class

TKYM Karma Yoga Class benefiting Black Boys Om

TKYM Karma Yoga Class benefiting Black Boys Om

We are so excited for our Inaugural Kaivalya Yoga Method Karma Yoga Class!

Karma yoga is one of the main paths of yoga that a practitioner can follow. The name comes from the Sanskrit term meaning action or deed. Therefore, it is the path of action, or selfless service towards others. It is considered by some that practicing karma yoga is the most effective way to develop spiritually.

Each month, one of our mentors will lead an offering that will benefit a charity or organization that aligns with our mission.

These classes will be taught via zoom with a replay available after, and you can reserve your space in class with a donation of $5.00 or more. One hundred percent of proceeds will go directly to this organization.

As spiritual leaders, it is our goal to use our practice to create meaningful change in our world.

For our first class, mentor Alyssa Arroyo will be leading you through an open level Vinyasa class.

All proceeds from this class will benefit Black Boys Om, a non-profit organization composed of Black male yoga and meditation leaders who use these tools to create positive and lasting change in their local communities. As a result of COVID-19, they have launched Black Boys Om Academy to provide free online yoga classes to Black men and their families.

This class is ONLY available until November 23, 2020.

Alyssa Arroyo

A born and raised New Yorker, Alyssa has been sharing her passion for Yoga since 2009. An early introduction to the Ashtanga practice and mentorship under Alanna Kaivalya has deeply influenced her teaching.

Alyssa is 500RYT certified and has over 1000 hours of training in Vinyasa, Hatha, Hot Vinyasa, Moksha, and Acro Yoga. She believes in a balanced practice that helps us to be present and to let go of the distractions and doubts that create our everyday dis-ease. She finds that through a physically and mentally challenging practice, we can find a sense of calm and grow our practice by applying what we do on the mat, off the mat.
